Nope. The only reliable place to find info on the Guilds is to go to the old MTG archives and look for Making Magic. Most youtube videos focus on the gameplay aspect and not the flavour =/

What program do you use to create your art? Is this all completely painted from memory, or is there textures in your brushes from photos? (I.E. photos of bark intermixed with painting to add realism, etc.)

I'm just wondering because I plan on doing this kind of art as I progress as an artist. The work you create is both inspiring, and intimidating. I hope to be on par to your level as I continue on.

Thank you for your time.

I do have some brushes that are made from photos and textures in my Photoshop arsenal. for this particular piece I did not use them though if I remember correctly. I usually work with a lot of reference material
but in the end that depends on the complexity of the subject. this scene for example was done without reference. there`s no doubt you can reach my level but let me tell you: the intimidating won`t stop. I live a in constant fear 8[ ;p

Great line. I'm very familiar with the Inspired and Intimidated feeling when seeing good art, unsure if I'll ever get to that point with my own art. It's interesting to hear that it doesn't go away. I guess there's always room for more inspiration and intimidation.

Ha! I understand that. I've finally broken through the wall I've been facing in recent years, and have begun steadily learning and doing things I once thought I would never accomplish. I'm confident I will get where I would like to be, but most likely by then, I'll have yet another goal to achieve.

Thank you for your comment, your work is truly inspiring. If you ever would post a tutorial on youtube or perhaps even on here, I believe it will do the community a huge service. I'm like an information vacuum at this given moment in my life.

In addition to my previous comment: Awe for the Guilds is one of my favorite cards in terms of artwork in all of the Ravnica Block. Whenever I am flipping through my cards, I tend to stop at this card and give it a second look. I can't fully explain why; perhaps it's because of the tone and the sense of power behind the card, or the story it seems to hold. It's certainly eye-catching!
